Neville John "Noddy" Holder was born in 1946 in Walsall and is known for being the charismatic front man of rock band Slade, one of Britain's most successful acts of the 1970s and he is ubiquitous at Christmas every year thanks to their hit single 'Merry Christmas Everybody'.
