There were live performances from Steve Gibbons, The Rockin' Berries, The Move, Ruby Turner, The Applejacks, and The Fortunes, Roy Wood, Denny Laine, Robert Plant, UB40, Moody Blues, ELO and George Harrison.
Local comedian Jasper Carrott was the compere along with Peter Powell, with appearances by Noddy Holder and Jim Davidson.
