Band/Performer/Event Joan Armatrading
Joan Anita Barbara Armatrading was born in St. Kitts and Nevis in 1950 and was raised in Birmingham from the age of 7. She first performed in a concert at the University of Birmingham for her brother at the age of 16 with a set list of mostly her own songs and some covers at the request of her brother.
In 2025 Joan became an ambassador for Amplify Town Hall and donated a signed copy of her 2024 album to raise funds for the project.
