Musical Youth were a British reggae band formed in 1979 in Birmingham, probably best known for their 1982 single "Pass the Dutchie", which hit the number 1 spot in many charts around the world. Musical Youth recorded two albums and earned themselves a Grammy Award nomination before splitting in 1985. The band had a brief resurgence in 2001 as a duo.
