Band/Performer/Event Nigel Kennedy
Nigel Kennedy was born in Brighton in 1956 and is an English musician and composer. Commonly associated with the violin, he also plays the viola and piano. Nigel won a scholarship at the age of seven to the Yehudi Menuhin School of Music, where, having switched from piano to violin, he became an apparent prodigy with the instrument.
Often known as 'the punk virtuoso of the violin' he gained notoriety when he had a chart-topping hit with his version of Vivaldi's 'Four Seasons'.
