The Move were an English rock band formed in Birmingham in 1965 and they evolved from several mid-1960s Birmingham-based groups, including Carl Wayne & the Vikings, the Nightriders and the Mayfair Set. Subsequently their name referred to the 'move' that the members of the bands made to form the group.
