The Who were a rock band formed in London in 1964 by Pete Townsend, Roger Daltry, John Entwistle and Keith Moon. One of the most influential rock bands of the 20th century, The Who were synonymous with the pop art and mod movements and were one of the first bands to perform auto-destructive art by destroying guitars and drums on stage at the end of a performance.
