Woolf Phillips was a writer, arranger and conductor for dance bands during the 1940s, who was also a highly regarded variety conductor. He was born in London in 1919 and died in 2003.

Phillips was a variety conductor who had much success at the London Palladium with artists including Max Miller and George Formby as well as singers Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland and Sammy Davis Jr.
