Afro rock is a music genre that fuses Western rock with traditional African music, which emerged in the late 1960s and early 1970s. It draws heavily from traditional African music styles and genres, including Afrobeat, Highlife, Jùjú, and Soukous. There is also an influence from Western music such as psychedelic rock, funk, and blues.
