Birmingham Musical Festival Programme for Town Hall In aid of the funds of the General Hospital.

This is a very special event with Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in attendance, as well as the Duke of Cambridge and the Duchess of Kent. A number of Dukes and Earls from around the area were also invited. The rest of the audience was made up of members of the public who entered a ballot for each performance.

The festival was spread over four days and culminated in a Dress Ball at the Town Hall with a fifty piece orchestra conducted by Mr. Weippert, conductor of Her Majesty's Quadrille band.
