Venue Goldwyns Birmingham

Situated in Beak Street near Suffolk St Queensway, Goldwyns opened in 1989 as a nightclub hosting cabaret acts and aimed for a more upmarket audience, however, it became better known as a gig venue for national and international stars such as Nirvana in 1990, Crowded House and Blur in 1991 as well as many other up and coming local acts.

It went into a name change, becoming The Foundry which became a venue for indie and punk bands. The site has since become an office block.
