The Imperial opened as a Cinema in Moseley in 1914 as the Imperial Picture Palace. After changing hands a number of times and with many different names the venue started hosting rock and pop bands from the early 1980s but closed in 1983. The building was demolished in 2005 and the site has been vacant for a number of years.
