Venue The Barrel Organ

Before it became Subside Bar it was called The Dubliner, before that it was known as The Barrel Organ, home to Birmingham’s goth scene. On closer inspection its clientèle was usually made up of more of Birminghams alternative subcultures, including rockers, punks, psychobillies, crusties and towards the end, shoe-gazing indies.

In 1991 The Manic Street Preachers played an early gig here supported by The Cranberries for a bargain price of £4.00
