Youth theatre performance of West Side Story

It was probably back in the late 1980s, early 1990s, when I came to a youth theatre production. My son's friend was one of the leads in West Side Story. We came as a group of people, and the production was good. The professionalism of the production considering they were all school kids, it was first class. The sound reproduction, the music, the acting, was all good. Probably the downside of the evening was the seating, we were sat on benches which were not over comfortable, and sort of creaked when anyone moved or the floor creaked. But it never interfered with my enjoyment of the evening.
